        Police: 12-year-old shot in cross fire in Benton Township

        The Benton Charter Township Police Department says a 12-year-old was shot in Benton Township.Police say it happened Friday afternoon in the 1,000 block of Harbor Court.They say two men were fighting and fired shots. A 12-year-old girl, who police say wasn't directly involved, was shot.She was taken to the hospital where police say she is stable.Police have arrested 24-year-old Jakeeme Griffin and 18-year-old Juan Hassel Junior for firearms violations.
