    The Elkhart City Council met to vote on the annexation of six areas in Elkhart County in front of a crowded Council Chambers. The areas being voted on were Toledo Road and County Road 13, Beck Drive and County Road 17, State Road 19 and County Road 4, County Road 6 and County Road 7, 54230 County Road 5 and the controversial Toledo Road and County Road 17 area.More >>

    We now know when Councilman Henry Davis, Jr. will have to face a judge. His preliminary trial date is set for August 11th. Police say they pulled Davis, Jr. over going the wrong-way on the Bypass early Saturday morning. They say he failed several field sobriety tests and blew a point 14. The councilman is scheduled to host a hearing in his district about the budget tomorrow.More >>

  • Anna Rohrer and Ashleigh Macleod honored by Mishawaka

    Anna Rohrer and Ashleigh Macleod honored by Mishawaka

     Mishawaka Senior to be Anna Rohrer was honored tonight by the Mishawaka town council for winning another state and national championship.  She was joined by the 800 state champ, freshman Ashleigh Macleod from Penn.  Anna Rohrer said,  "It's really nice to know that no matter where I'm competing that I'm not alone, that all over the place people are watching.  Especially in Mishawaka."

    Silver Hawks flying high in 2nd half

     They already clinched a playoff spot, but they haven't gotten satisfied in the 2nd half of the season.  Going into today, the Silver Hawks were tied with West Michigan for the top spot in the East in the 2nd half.  The Benders are now 19-11 after winning an afternoon game against Peoria.

    Fatal motorcycle accident on US 20 in Elkhart

    A 42 year old Elkhart man was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle accident Sunday just before 11 AM. The motorcycle driver was driving his Harley Davidson eastbound on US 20, when he crossed the center line near CO RD 13. He collided with a vehicle traveling west.Police reports say witnesses suggested the man may have been driving around 70-80 miles per hour. He was found not wearing a helmet.
