
Police officers in three counties chased a driver across Michiana at speeds over 100mph early Tuesday morning.
Plymouth police say the pursuit began just after 2:30 a.m. when the driver of a purple Dodge Caravan was stopped for a routine traffic violation at Main Street and Donmoyer Avenue in South Bend. The driver took off heading south on U.S. 31. In Marshall County, officers there spotted the driver headed west on U.S. 30. Police chased the driver with speeds topping 100mph as the chase continued into Starke County.
The driver, a 26 year-old man from South Bend, was finally stopped by Marshall County officers and arrested by Plymouth Police officers near Hamlet. He is in custody awaiting charges. Police say there were no injuries in the chase.
