
Two men from Akron, Ind. are in the Kosciusko County jail after seperate violent incidents there Monday and Tuesday morning.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department said deputies arrested Gary Gagnon Jr., 34, just before 9 p.m. Monday after they were called to his home for a domestic dispute. His wifed claimed he choked and strangled her. Gagnon is preliminarily charged him with felony strangulation and domestic battery.
A dispute over text messages led to a stabbing early Tuesday morning in Akron. Deputies arrested Andrew Runyon, 18, for felony aggravated battery after an man was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital with stab wounds to his arms and legs. The sheriff's department said the stabbing occurred at a party Runyan and the victim both attended earlier in the night. The victim had apparently been text messasing Runyon's ex-girlfriend.
