Woman, 75, stranded for 3 hours after Mich. crash

Associated Press - October 17, 2009 6:24 PM ET

ITHACA, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 75-year-old Lansing woman was stranded for about three hours after her car crashed into the woods in Gratiot County.

The Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant reports Catherine Rademacher activated the alarm on her car following the crash Thursday near Ithaca. Deputies nearby on another call spotted flashing lights in the woods and found her.

Authorities say the car ended up on its side and wasn't visible from the road. Rademacher was taken to a Lansing hospital with what the sheriff's department described as non-life threatening injuries.

Ithaca is about 40 miles north of Lansing.
