Friends, family, and community members gather to honor and raise funds for an Elkhart woman battling breast cancer. Elkhart city councilwoman Tonda Hines is in her third phase of her treatment to rid her body of the disease. Saturday her supporters held a benefit dinner with proceeds going toward her medical bills. But Hines says it was the community support that's helped her through the hard times.
Hines will have her first day of radiation treatment on Wednesday. She says support from her friends, family, and community will push her through the last leg.
