Another phase of a city attraction opens Saturday. The Mishawaka Riverwalk opened up phase III-B. That includes the western edge of Kamm Island behind the Mishawaka Utilities Wastewater Treatment Plant near Lincoln Park. It's just one more addition to the three mile trail for walkers, runners, and boaters to enjoy the city of Mishawaka and the St. Joseph River.
We've had factories and industries here for so long now we have something here that brings the public close to the River and nature so they can enjoy it," said Dave Wood who enjoys the Riverwalk.
Most of the funding for the construction of the Mishawaka Riverwalk comes from federal dollars.
