HOLLAND, Mich. (AP) - An instructor at Hope College has created a modern twist on old-fashioned prayer cards.
Stephanie Milanowski, an assistant professor of design at the Holland college, says she was inspired to create modern prayer cards after her 9-year-old daughter made a card to pray for her father's workplace, where layoffs were feared.
The Holland Sentinel reports Milanowski's company, Hip Halo, launched last month.
Cards are designed for both children and adults and have space to record specific prayers.
Milanowski, who is Roman Catholic, says she wanted to bring modern design to timeless prayers like the Prayer for Travelers, A Prayer for Students and the Peace Prayer of St. Francis.
