A Michiana radio station wants you to stuff it.
Stuff a truck, that is.
Y Country 97-5 kicked off its 13th annual Stuff-a-Truck event today at Roger's Foodland in St. Joseph. They're collecting food and personal hygiene items for families in need in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties.
Organizers say the event is always important, but it's especially important this year.
"There is a huge, huge need unfortunately," said disc jockey Sarah Matthews. "Especially in our little section of Michigan. The need kind of has gone up in the last year or so."
Twenty area schools are participating in the food drive. The radio station will be collecting food and personal hygiene items at Roger's Foodland all week long.
