Many of us have already dusted off our winter coats and are ready for anything... Unfortunately, many kids in our area aren't in the same boat this year.
So the credit unions in Niles all got together for a coat drive and boy did they deliver this afternoon. They delivered a huge load of donated coats and other cold weather accessories to Merritt Elementary this afternoon.
The superintendent says they always have a need, but this year, it's really a tremendous gift.
Dr. John Jarpe, the Brandywine Superintendent says, "These coats are right on time for kids that need them very much."
The coats will be given to all the kids who need them in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
