New information on a fatal accident in which an elderly man was hit by a car while crossing the street.
Police say it appears the man stepped into the path of a car while trying to cross Lincoln Way East in Mishawaka about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.
The driver was a 29 year old South Bend man. Police say it does NOT appear the driver was impaired or at fault.
The accident is still under investigation.
