The U.S. government announces the biggest recall of baby cribs in history.
More than 2.1 million are being recalled by Stork Craft Manufacturing.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, more than half of the cribs were sold in the U.S.
The rest, in Canada where the company is based.
About 150-thousand carry the Fisher Price logo.
The recall stems from hardware problems on certain drop-side cribs sold at major retailers between 1993 and 2008.
The CPSC is aware of more than 100 incidents where babies fell or became trapped. Four of those cases resulted in suffocation.
Regulators are urging consumers not to use the cribs and to get a free repair kit from Stork Crafts.
The kits can be obtained by calling the company or logging on to storkcraft.com
