Downtown Mishawaka is about to get a new hospital.
Triumph Our Lady of Peace Hospital has relocated from downtown South Bend and will be operating by the end of the week.
The long-term acute care facility has 32 beds, including 12 intensive care beds.
Hospital officials say they're thrilled about the move.
"We're very excited to be moving into the Mishawaka community," said Sara Mathews James, the hospital's director of professional relations. "It's a great location for us. In the future, if we're able to expand, this location will offer the possibility of expanding right here on site."
The hospital is moving from its current location on the campus of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
