Two officials from China's consulate in Chicago along with a Chinese delegation visited St. Mary's Monday.
The group met with St. Mary's and Creighton University officials and students.
The two universities work together to offer a three-week summer program in China.
Maorong Jing with Creighton says it's great for the students to share experiences and helps the relationship between the U.S. and China on a larger scale.
Maorong says, "The relationships between the two countries are so vital at this time when China is seen from a new perspective and the U.S. has always been a very influential factor in world politics."
This is third year St. Mary's students have had the opportunity to travel to China.
