DETROIT (AP) - The trial to determine whether bankrupt Detroit's restructuring plan will be approved is set to begin just over a year after the city sought court protection in July 2013. The confirmation trial for the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history starts Tuesday in federal court. Pensioners already have approved the settlement plan, but at least one creditor says it is discriminatory.

DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police say two teenagers and a man have died in overnight shootings. They tell WWJ-AM that a male and a female teenager were fatally shot about 3:45 a.m. yesterday on the city's west side. Police tell the Detroit News someone forced the victims from a car before shooting them. No arrests have been reported in the killings.

DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police say that a police lieutenant was injured while trying to stop a larceny suspect from fleeing. Police spokesman Sergeant Michael Woody tells WWJ-AM that police originally thought the lieutenant was hurt by a hit-and-run driver during a traffic stop, but that was incorrect. Woody says the lieutenant hurt his ankle after the suspect fled Sunday. It happened about noon on the city's west side.

MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say they're investigating the shooting of a 13-year-old boy during a football game at Muskegon High School. The Muskegon Chronicle and WOOD-TV say the shooting happened Friday night. Muskegon police are asking for help from people who can help them find out how it happened. Muskegon beat Detroit Catholic Central 21-14.
