HUNTINGTON WOODS, Mich. (AP) - Some Detroit-area residents say they're still waiting for debris from last week's flood to be hauled away. A woman in Huntington Woods say rats are digging through the trash piled in front of her home and her family is forced to stay inside. Garbage haulers are having a hard time keeping up.

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan appeals court has cleared the way for a class-action lawsuit by dozens of male guards who say they've been denied overtime and job assignments at the state's only prison for women. Employment rules at Huron Valley prison for women were changed following allegations of sexual abuse.

GENESEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A man was electrocuted after crashing his pickup truck Wednesday morning near Flint. Authorities say the man was trying to get out of the burning truck when he touched a live wire.

SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) - Federal agents say they've found 22 pounds of cocaine in a car towed last week in Saginaw. They believe the woman driving the car had it towed on purpose to deliver the drugs worth an estimated $400,000. The woman is charged with drug possession.
