Bremen Wins Softball Thriller vs Prairie Heights

Bremen's Softball team was ranked #6 and had a record of 21-3. Prairie Heights was 12-17.  The Lions led 3-0 going into the 7th, but PH tied the game in that inning and then took a 6-3 lead into the 10th inning.  Bremen battled back and believed they could win as Emily Molden capped off their comeback with a hit in the bottom of the 10th.  Bremen wins 7-6 and will now play LaVille who beat Fremont 13-11 in 8 innings. Muffet McGraw told FOX 28's Allison Hayes that the Notre Dame basketball team will be playing in London and Spain.  She said the team will be looking for leaders to step up with the departure of Skylar Diggins.  She joked that she's glad Diggins didn't get the Mercedes SUV from her agent during the season.  Jay Z bought Diggins the gift as a graduation present. Marian beat New Prairie 6-0, Fairfield knocked off Wawasee 8-0 while Bremen defeated defending Sectional Champ Central Noble 9-3 Monday night at the opener of the IHSAA Softball Sectionals. More>>

Stremme and Racing Family Help Wortinger

Bobby Stremme gave Mike Wortinger over $5,000 this weekend.  The money was raised from advertising spots on his car.  Racers have gotten together and shaved their heads for the driver who was injured in a racing accident at New Prairie on May 11th.  So far, more than $17,000 has been raised for Wortinger.
