    One man is behind bars after police say his attempt to break into a Leesburg home was quickly turned away.Kosciusko County police say Mack Stokes tried to break into a house on the 6000 block of N. Old State Road 15. They got the call shortly after 10:15 Wednesday morning. As officers converged on the location, they spotted a green Mercury Sable matching the description of the suspect's vehicle.More >>

    Officials say South Bend Common Councilman Henry Davis, Jr. is midway through his first week on medical leave, but the specifics of why he's out are unclear. He hasn't spoken publicly. Instead, all we have to go on is an email he sent the council president saying he needs to concentrate on his health. His request came a little over a week after his DUI arrest. Councilman Derek Dieter wants the full council to meet and clarify the leave of absence process.More >>

    Notre Dame Stadium is turf tuff

     The opener against Rice is now just one month away.  Exciting times under the Golden Dome as practice starts Monday. This is how the Stadium looked in April at the Blue Gold Game.  Here it is Wednesday as the new turf is ready to run on.  There are a pair of shamrocks on the 35 yard line.  The iconic interlocking ND at  midfield.  There aren't any words in the endzone.  Just white dashes. ND opens up the season at home August 30th.

    Silver Hawks give up rare in the park grand slam vs Bowling Green

     Bowling Green took it at the Silver Hawks at Four Winds Field Wednesday night.  James Harris smacked one into center field with the bases loaded.  It got past Chuck Taylor and Harris made it all the way around the bases for an in the park grand slam.  The Hot Rods won the game 10-1.
