Elkhart Mayor Dick Moore responds to community police reform suggestions

It's been more than a month since an Elkhart police officer got into a fight with a man from Chicago in the city's Garfield Avenue neighborhood. Ever since, residents say their relationship with police has been tense. So a community group submitted police reform ideas to Elkhart's mayor. Neither the mayor's response nor community reaction has eased the conflict. "They harass the hell out of us over here," said Darnell Thomas. He lives on the 100 block of West Garfield.More >>

Brindza wants the pressure for Notre Dame

Notre Dame opens the season in just 9 days.  The Irish could be in some very close games this year.  That means the kicking game will be heavily counted on for points and field position.  The guy they're leaning on is Kyle Brindza.  He'll be a candidate for the Lou Groza Award and could make a lot of money in the pros if things work out right.  All  he's concerned with for now is helping his team win games.
