    South Bend Police are reporting of a shooting at the 2400 block of W. Fredrickson Street. The police say no one was shot but shots were fired. The incident is under investigation.     Trial date set for man charged in deadly accident that killed a Mishawaka mother

    A trial date was set Tuesday for the man charged for a fatal accident in Osceola that killed a Mishawaka mother of three.Kyle Papa, 23, was in court today facing three felony and two misdemeanor charges after an accident that left Amanda Ezra dead from severe head trauma. Prosecutors say Papa was intoxicated when he was driving the van Ezra was traveling in the early morning hours of June 15, and say he left the scene after Ezra, 24, suffered fatal injuries.More >>

     Mishawaka Senior to be Anna Rohrer was honored tonight by the Mishawaka town council for winning another state and national championship.  She was joined by the 800 state champ, freshman Ashleigh Macleod from Penn.  Anna Rohrer said,  "It's really nice to know that no matter where I'm competing that I'm not alone, that all over the place people are watching.  Especially in Mishawaka."

     They already clinched a playoff spot, but they haven't gotten satisfied in the 2nd half of the season.  Going into today, the Silver Hawks were tied with West Michigan for the top spot in the East in the 2nd half.  The Benders are now 19-11 after winning an afternoon game against Peoria.
