Notre Dame field turf being laid down in the stadium

Notre Dame football began in 1887. Going into their 127th year of playing, they've been on artificial turf, field turf and even astro turf.  But never at home. To some, it would be like Knute Rockne wearing a wig.  For others, it's long overdue.  The announcement to eliminate real grass came at the Blue Gold game in April.  Monday was the first time we got to see the fake stuff in the Stadium.
