    A Samaritan's Purse International Relief article reports two Americans have contracted the Ebola virus. The organization says Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol are in stable but grave condition after contracting the ebola virus. The organization's website says Dr. Brantly recognized he had symptoms of the virus last week and put himself in immediate isolation.More >>

    South Bend Police looking for a man who allegedly exposed himself to children

    Yesterday afternoon, a seven year old boy was playing with his six year old friend on the 1000 block of South Ironwood, when an unknown male tried to lure the children to a nearby garage according to the South Bend Police Department.The children refused at which point the man exposed his genitalia. The children ran into a nearby home and the suspect left the area in a direction unknown to police.The man is described as having gray balding hair and wearing light colored shorts.More >>

    Drinking water concerns for Granger and Gilmer Park addressed at a meeting Wednesday

    Nitrates, nicotine, deet, and other toxins were discovered in St. Joe County water in December 2013, following a year-long study. Northeast Granger and Gilmer Park on the south side of South Bend are the areas affected by the contamination. The county health department points to septic systems as the cause for the problem. A group of experts met Wednesday night just to lay-out the first steps in cleaning up the drinking water. St. Joe County's Environmental Health Director, Marc Nelson, says ...More >>

    Notre Dame Stadium is turf tuff

     The opener against Rice is now just one month away.  Exciting times under the Golden Dome as practice starts Monday. This is how the Stadium looked in April at the Blue Gold Game.  Here it is Wednesday as the new turf is ready to run on.  There are a pair of shamrocks on the 35 yard line.  The iconic interlocking ND at  midfield.  There aren't any words in the endzone.  Just white dashes. ND opens up the season at home August 30th.

    Silver Hawks give up rare in the park grand slam vs Bowling Green

     Bowling Green took it at the Silver Hawks at Four Winds Field Wednesday night.  James Harris smacked one into center field with the bases loaded.  It got past Chuck Taylor and Harris made it all the way around the bases for an in the park grand slam.  The Hot Rods won the game 10-1.
