    Will Kercher was working on removing invasive plants in Abshire Park Monday morningwhen he came across a different kind of "invasive" species...marijuana plants. Kercher, seventeen, was taking before pictures ofa wooded area in thepark. He was documenting the area before he helped clear it of bush honeysuckle when he came across four potted marijuana plants.   • IU and Purdue coaches talk at Big 10 Media Day

    IU and Purdue coaches talk at Big 10 Media Day

     Big 10 Media Day was Monday.  Purdue had a rough start under Darrell Hazell last year.  1-11 overall.  0-8 in the Leaders Division.  The Boilers scored 14 points or less in half of their games last year.  IU opens their season against Indiana State in 32 days.  The Hoosiers were 5-7 last year, 3-5 in the Big 10 West Division.   Their offense was good, ranked 17th in the country with 38 points a game.

Tyler's natural talent was quickly recognized by college rugby programs throughout the country.

    Gaugler wins 50-Over National MVP

       Congratulations to Granger's Jeff Gaugler.  He was the hitting MVP at the ASA Men's 50-over Fastpitch National Championship over the weekend going 8-11 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI's.  You can see he and his Grey Sox team play Thursday night at 9:00 in the ASA Men's Major at Bellville in South Bend.
