The Transportation District issue is one many voters probably want to weigh in on, but will they take the time to vote?
County officials hope so, saying this is an important election.
To be able to hold this special election and keep costs down, St. Joseph County has pared down the number of polling places, significantly.
The have whittled the 230 regular polling places down to 30 polling sites, and streamlined poll worker positions.

This will mean a significant savings, but they hope people will still get out to vote.
And county officials say it'll be posted at your normal polling place as well.
