St. Mary's gets big donation

Saint Mary's College announced Saturday it's receiving the largest private gift ever in its history to renovate Science Hall.

St. Mary's president Carol Ann Mooney announced the combined $10 million gift from philanthropists Mary Ann and Clayton Mathile and their daughter Jennifer Methile Prikkel, a graduate of the school.

Clayton Mathile hopes the gift will inspire future female scientists.

A timetable for the new renovations has not yet been established.
