The St. Joseph County Prosecutor has charged a fifth person in connection with the shooting death of Cornelius Miller from South Bend.
Miller was killed on November 30, 2010. Rene Vasquez of Indianapolis is facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The prosecutor accuses Vasquez and three other men of going to Miller's home where Miller was shot and killed. The shooting is believed to have been caused by a physical altercation between Brittney Watson and Miller.
Watson, Steven Rice, Stephon Rice, and Brandon Rogers have all been arrested in connection to the death. They were arrested in December of last year. Vasquez was taken into custody on Monday by Indianapolis Metro Homicide and transported to South Bend.
All five suspects are awaiting trial at this time.
