Courtney Jorgensen joined FOX28 in March 2011. She is ecstatic to be fulfilling her life-long dream of being a meteorologist. At the tender age of seven, she knew she wanted to be a meteorologist. Her favorite thing about Midwest weather is the fact that we get to experience all four seasons.

Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science (2003) and Master of Science (2004) in Atmospheric Science from the prestigious University of Michigan. She's proud to be a Michigan Wolverine, but admits it is quite difficult to live in Notre Dame country...

During her time at U of M, Courtney served as the Chief Weather Forecaster at WOLV-TV and also reported local community news in her hometown. After completing an internship at WDIV-TV in Detroit, Michigan, she was the second intern ever to be hired on to the team, as the Associate Weather Producer.

Originally from the Detroit area, Courtney has been living in Michiana since 2005. In addition to her passion for the weather, she has a strong passion for helping others and has been involved as a volunteer and employee of local non-profit organizations.

In her spare time, Courtney likes to spend time with her husband, TJ, and their five children. She also enjoys singing, acting, bike riding, and Zumba.
