INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Jeff Gordon slid past Kasey Kahne to win his NASCAR-record fifth win at the Brickyard 400 yesterday. The victory comes on the 20th anniversary of Gordon's win in the inaugural Brickyard 400. The win moves Gordon into a tie with Michael Schumacher. His five Formula One victories at Indy had been the gold standard.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Juan Pablo Montoya and Brad Keselowski came to the Brickyard 400 to finally put Roger Penske in Victory Lane. But the tag-team tandem of 2000 Indy 500 winner Montoya and 2012 Cup champ Keselowski never made a serious run at the leaders. Keselowski overcame a frustrating day to finish 12th. Montoya ended up 23rd.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana State Excise Police says officers have arrested 18 people on 20 charges outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Police say they made the arrests Saturday night during NASCAR Nationwide race events and the Brickfest Music Festival at the Speedway. Thickstun says 16 people were charged with illegal possession or consumption of alcohol.

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - The Colts have re-signed running back Davin Meggett after putting linebacker Aaron Morgan on injured reserve. Meggett played at the University of Maryland and was on the Colts practice squad in December 2012 but has not played in an NFL game. The move comes one day after Indy announced running back Vick Ballard would miss the rest of the season with a torn left Achilles' tendon.
