Fire on south Michigan Street in South Bend

Fire crews are tearing down a vacant home in the 2100 block of South Michigan Street. Michigan between Ewing and Calvert is shut down.

The fire started a little after 6am and crews had it out in about an hour. The home is being torn down because it is a threat to nearby buildings.

Crews plan to investigate a cause, but admit it will be tough since the home is being town down.
