Goshen Police said Friday they have no suspects in Sunday's deadly home invasion.
During a Friday briefing, Goshen Police Chief Wade Branson said officers have expended hundreds of man hours investigating the murder of Goshen College Professor James Miller. Miller was pronounced dead at his home early Sunday.
Miller's wife, Linda, was injured in the home invasion. Police say she helped an artist come up with a sketch of the suspect.
While they have no suspects, police say they have interviewed a few people as persons of interest.
Goshen Mayor Allan Kauffman says police still do not know if this was a random attack. He also described the murder as an assault on the entire community. Chief Branson says people in the community should be vigilant.
During the briefing, police addressed speculation that 18-year-old Chad Weddle might be a suspect in the murder. Weddle was arrested this week in connection with multiple burglaries. Chief Branson says Weddle has been interviewed, but is not considered a suspect in the murder of Miller at this time.
