She's been singing her whole life, and now she's ready to take it to a whole new level.
18-year-old Emilee Allan is Edwardsburg's local singing celebrity. Emilee packed up on Friday for her move to Nashville, where she hopes to start her music career.
Before she goes, she'll open for country music legend George Jones at the Lerner Theatre on October 28.
"I'm so excited about it. It should be... It's going to be a big moment in my life just because, I've opened up for a couple of people, but nobody as big as George Jones."
Emilee just finished recording her first album, self-titled "Emilee Allan." She expects the album to be out in December.
