Extra patrols on IN-19 nets 1 arrest and 18 tickets

Extra patrols on a dangerous stretch of State Road 19 nabbed 1 arrest, 18 tickets, and 27 warnings over the weekend.

The patrols were in the Simonton Lake area. Just last week, residents just voiced concerns about that particular stretch of 19.

The area has seen 3 fatal accidents in a year and a half... and more than 100 accidents over the last 7 years.

INDOT's commissioner is expected to make a trip to the area in November.
