South Shore back up after fatal car crash shuts down operations

South Shore service between South Bend and Michigan City is back up and running after a fatal car accident led to a shutdown.

A car had struck a utility pole in New Carlisle ending upright against the pole.  The driver was killed in the crash.

Train service was impacted, as investigators had to work Wednesday night on the accident.

South Shore bussed passengers between the Michigan City and South Bend stations while the accident was cleared..
