New court documents reveal disturbing details in the murder of a South Bend woman. Police say Deshone Caradine was stabbed to death by her boyfriend Manuel Clemon.
According to the documents, investigators found blood spatter in Caradine's apartment on North Eddy Street, that lead them to believe the suspect was also injured in the deadly attack. Investigators say they found three bloody knives in a bathroom where Caradine was found dead.
Police believe Clemon took Caradine's car and drove it to Chicago. He is still on the run, but is now charged with felony murder.
Investigators met with Clemon's mother at her Chicago home, where they say she told them Clemon showed up, but later left to go to a nearby hotel.
Police went to the hotel, where they say someone checked in under the name "Shawn Clemon." Police say Clemon had already checked out by the time they arrived. Police say the found the keys to Caradine's Ford Focus in the hotel room.
