The heavy snow over the weekend meant a lot of fun for winter sports enthusiasts, and a successful one for St. Joseph County parks. Each of their parks with tubing hills: Ferrettie, Baugo Creek, and St. Patrick's had around 400 tubers each on Saturday and Sunday.
Park officials tell us each of the parks saw about 1000 people this weekend. The parks have had a rough season because the weather hasn't been playing along for winter sports.
After the holidays, interest tends to die down, no matter what the weather and that could impact their budget, so they're hoping for more snowy weekends on the horizon.
