Two men arrested in Elkhart on Meth charges

Two men are facing drug charges after a routine traffic stop turns into a drug bust.

Elkhart Police say they pulled over 51-year-old David Gilson near CR-9 and Irvin Road. Officers say they found an active "one pot" methamphetamine lab and meth precursors inside. Gilson, and his passenger 36-year-old Thomas Paxton, were arrested.

The Osolo Fire Department and the Indiana State Police dismantled the lab.

Gilson and Paxton are being held in the Elkhart County jail, facing charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Two or More Chemical Precursors.
