Severe weather rolled through Michiana this afternoon. The warnings are over, and according to FOX28 Meteorologist Courtney Jorgensen, we shouldn't expect more than a few more scattered storms overnight.
Thousands of homes and businesses were left without power in the wake. The 91 mph wind gust was measured at Fort Wayne International Airport
shortly before 3 p.m. The National Weather Service reports the top 40
feet of a 100-foot radio tower was blown down in Whitley County.
We've been getting reports on our Facebook page. Amber Driscoll from Ligonier was pretty excited. She posted "An epic beasltly amount of rain!!!! :D"
Around 2:30pm Fran Gerbasch told us that "heavy rain and wind, small hail in Granger, just finished."
Melissa Richardson in Plymouth was looking on the bright side. "Not as bad here thats good thing but still no power," she posted. We have current power outage information here on our website.
