The 6 Degrees Resale Store will be holding its grand re-opening on February 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at its new location, 205 W. Main Street in Benton Harbor.
The store is affiliated with Emergency Shelter Services, Inc. which is Berrien County's only homeless shelter for single women and families.
The store will include antiques as well as low cost items for people in need. That includes clothing, household items and furniture. People can volunteer their time and when they do they will earn "store bucks" which can be used to purchase items from the store.
Six Degrees also offers a job skills training program that includes two hours per day, four days per week and one day of case management and evaluation. During the fourth week, the participants will be placed at area businesses for on-the-job training. The program has had many trainees go on to be hired at the business where they completed their training.
