A Nappanee man died in a roll over accident early Thursday morning, police say, in Marshall County.
According to Sergeant Trent Smith, a 1998 Ford F-150 pick-up truck driven by Louis J. Cady, 75, was found by another vehicle in a drainage ditch filled with about six inches of water. This happened off of North Beach Road between 7th and 8th Road around 6 A.M, which is just north of Bourbon.
Indiana State Police say that they are currently investigating the accident. It is unknown why Cady left the roadway and crashed into a ditch. Police say he was wearing his seatbelt.
Cady was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center where an autopsy will be performed. The Marshall County coroner says Cady drowned. The accident does remain under investigation.
