It may feel a little on the warm
side for winter, but it's certainly not summer yet.
That didn't stop a group of people
in Edwardsburg from jumping into Pleasant Lake Saturday morning.
It was all part of the polar plunge
to raise money for Special Olympics Michigan.
The Edwardsburg Fire and Police departments engaged in a friendly battle
to see who could raise more money.
Edwardsburg Fire Department Assistant Chief, Brian Brown said, "It
goes to the Special Olympics so the kids can go and have some fun and
participate just like everybody else."
Brown added that the water was, "very
cold, breathtaking."
But it was all worth it the Fire
Department did win the money raising competition by bringing in over $340. The Police department raised about $230.
