Lawmaker opposes Girl Scout honor

An Indiana lawmaker says the Girl Scouts are radical!

Republican Representative Bob Morris of Fort Wayne says he won't sign a resolution commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Girls Scouts.

In a letter to his Republican colleagues in the Indiana House, posted online by the Journal Gazette, Morris details why he doesn't support the Girl Scouts.

He describes the group as a radicalized organization that promotes homosexuality and as he puts it a quote "transgender or cross dressing lifestyle."

Morris also says the group has ties to Planned Parenthood.

"I'm a pro-life legislator and I'm trying to teach my girls the best values I can, my wife and I," says Morris.

But The Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana says there is no partnership with Planned Parenthood, nor are there any plans for a relationship in the future.

And as far as the girl scouts policies go, a statement on the Girl Scout's website says it "remains dedicated to our values of creating an accepting environment where girls build the leadership skills necessary for success."
