A Plymouth man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Marshall County.
It began in Argos when officers were performing a traffic stop due to a suspected DUI violation. The suspect, 62-year-old Mark Albright, did not pull his car over but fled the scene. The chase started on U-S 31 in Argos continuing through Plymouth on U.S. 30. It ended on U.S. 6 at Quince Road in Marshall County.
Police say Albright got out of his vehicle and ran to a nearby neighborhood. After police repeatedly asked him to stop, Albright pulled out a handgun and fired two shots toward officers. That's when police returned fire, hitting him. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Indiana State Police are continuing the investigation. The names of the officers are not being released at this time. Stay with FOX28 for all the updates.
