Though it's been gorgeous out, many people are starting to be a bit miserable with allergies. We had a mild winter without any temperatures below zero so the mold never went away.
Couple that with the fact that we've had several days in a row now in the 70's and 80's, and all means an earlier allergy season.
"Pollen counts are really, really high already which usually doesn't happen by now," explained Dr. Ken Elek with Memorial Hospital. "So, people are starting to have more problems with the stuffy nose and wheezing and symptoms we get with the allergies."
What can you do to help? Those with allergies are not going to like this first one. Dr. Elek says you're going to have to limit your time outside.
You can also shower and wash your hair before you go to bed because frequently pollen spreads from your hair to your pillow, and keep windows closed unless you have an air purifier.
