Mother of children who died in trunk arrested

The mother of two children who died after becoming trapped in a car trunk was arrested Friday on negligence charges.

In June of 2011 two-year-old Dunner Wilk and four-year-old Dominick Wilk of New Carlisle died of hyperthermia.

The St. Joseph County prosecutor's office tells FOX28 News that the boys' mother, Jacqueline Wilk, was indicted by a Grand Jury on two counts of Neglect of a Dependent. Wilk turned herself into the St. Joseph County Jail on Friday.

Her bond was set at $100,000 surety or $10,000 cash, which she has posted.
