All across Michiana families celebrated Mother's Day by taking mom out to eat.
Mothers, grandmothers, sons and daughters all enjoyed a meal together at Cafe Navarre in South Bend Sunday afternoon.
Just one of many Michiana restaurants offering Mother's Day specials because mothers certainly deserved to be pampered with a good meal that she doesn't have to cook herself!
"I think Mother's Day is probably the most important holiday of the year. I think we all have to pay tribute to our mothers and show them the respect and the love they've provided to us for years," says Larry Katz with Cafe Navarre.
Another special activity for mom was carriage rides through Downtown South Bend.
You could take your mom for a nice relaxing ride through the city and see the shops and activities downtown.
Or you can take a longer ride down by the river to see a little more of what Mother Nature has to offer South Bend.
"Just come on down, bring your gal for a nice ride, bring your mom for a nice ride. It's a great way to relax with your family. Just come on down and take a nice ride. Come see your city," says Jeanine Dziak with Dream Coach Carriages.
If you missed out on the carriage rides for Mother's Day don't worry you can still take mom, or anyone, for a ride.
The horse and carriage are in downtown South Bend every Friday.
