Sneakers are getting a lot of use Saturday as several relay for life events are underway across Michiana.
More than 80 teams walked the tracked at Mishawaka High School.
One walker says she lost her mother to ovarian cancer, and she herself is a breast cancer survivor.
"I had a bilateral mastectomy and I had four rounds of chemo and then I had a complete hysterectomy and implants," says cancer survivor joanne Horak.
Relay for life raises money to find a cure for cancer.
Organizers at the Mishawaka event say they hope to raise $120,000 thousand.
