The community gathered Sunday outside the home where 10 year-old Tramelle Sturgis lost his life.
As his father, Terry Sturgis, stands trial for his death, friends and family held a vigil to honor the young boy.
Terry Sturgis is accused of beating his son to death in November.
The community says Tramelle has been gone for six months and they don't want anyone to forget.
The owner of the home where the Sturgis family lived was there Sunday.
He opened it up for neighbors to go inside to try and find a sense of closure and unity.
