With the nice weather we had this weekend the chilly morning in Michiana Monday was a little surprising, but that didn't stop people from biking to work.
It's is Bike to Work Week this year. This is the seventh year for Bike to Work week in Michiana, and bikers around here say a nice workout isn't the only thing you'll get.
They say it's a great way to see the community from a different angle and meet your neighbors. As long as mother nature cooperates that is. "Those thunderstorms last night probably scared a lot of people off, but it's supposed to be a beautiful week the rest of the week," Aaron Perri who biked to work Monday. "Today's not so bad. It's probably the coolest day. Today might be the most enjoyable day of Bike to Work, quite frankly, it's going to be a little warm later in the week."
If you are on the fence about bike to work week, maybe free food will be encouragement. Bike riders can grab some free, organic, bluberry pancakes and sausage in downtown South Bend Tuesday morning. The breakfast kicks off at 7 o'clock right in front of LaSalle Grille.
