With Memorial Day weekend right around the corner---you might be looking for a few fun, family activities.
Here's an idea: Head out to Potawatomi Zoo. You can meet Glen, their brand new chimp, and all of the other cool animals they've got out there.
With the heat they expect this weekend, Director Marcy Dean recommends you try and come to the zoo earlier in the day. She says the animals will be more active then, because they'll have just been let out and it will be cooler. Later in the day, the animals, especially the big cats, will rest or sleep.
The zoo works hard to keep the animals cool this time of year. They've got fans, water mists and shaded areas for a lot of the animals. There are even small air conditioners for some of them.
