This week's golf challenge was special in a lot of ways.
Meadow Valley in Middlebury is open again after a change of ownership from Spring Meadow.
And Allison and I were auctioned off to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Middlebury.
Who cares that we were only down 1 shot. This challenge raised $850 for the kids.
Hole #9 isn't the hardest hole on the course.
It's wide open and only 360 yards from the tee.
But with a gallery watching, and no warm up holes.
It was going to be interesting.
I gave us a nice long drive, about 280 yards down the middle.
The challengers went with Derald's ball.
He was off to the left and they had about 150 yards to the green.
Apparently that's their shot.
Take a look at this. Like Father, Like Son.
The Bontragers made it look easy as they put both balls on the dance floor.
Nice to have options. My 80 yard wedge was a little short, so the pressure was on Allison.
Back to the Challengers. Derald goes first. Nice putt.
He gives the kid a good look at it.
Wow. The Jayco team comes up with an incredible birdie. So here we go for the tie.
Now that's a fun hole of golf. A pair of birdies for the 2nd week in-a-row and after 7 holes, we're still down just 1 shot.
