A home was damaged early Tuesday morning in a fire on the 1100 block of Broadway Street in South Bend.
Firefighters say the flames were concentrated toward the back of the house and they were able to put it out fairly quickly.
One firefighter went to the hospital after the fire, but it is uncertain at this time whether or not it is related to the fire. There is no word on his condition this morning. Firefighters are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
Correction: FOX28 originally reported the firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.
